Partnership with Memorial Satilla Increases Reach into Specialty Care

January 6, 2021, WAYCROSS, GA — SouthlandMD, a regional leader in physician management announced a new affiliation with Memorial Satilla Health Wound Care Center in Waycross, Georgia.

The Wound Care Center treats wounds and provides hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Evidence shows that early treatment of wounds increases chance of healing. With a team approach that involves a partnership with the patient’s primary care physician an individualized treatment plan is developed to help patients return back to daily life and activities. The Center is actively accepting referrals from local physicians and offers the only hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatment in the area.

“With this partnership we can bring wound care specialists to the community and offer treatment to the patients where they live,” said Jonathan Williams, DO, Chief Medical Officer of SouthlandMD. “Often in rural areas patients have to travel to get specialty care.
