Why did you choose to work in behavioral health? Psychiatry has always intrigued me, and I love how my profession allows me to know my patients on an in-depth level, while focusing on the biological, psychological and social aspects of their recovery.

What do you enjoy most about your job at Aspire? Aspire is a wonderful organization with an excellent leadership team that is dedicated to the well-being of people of all ages in all of the communities that they serve. I love working for Aspire as everyone is treated like family. The work is difficult but rewarding, and we rely on each other for support and encouragement.

Why do you work with SouthlandMD? I can’t imagine having better bosses than Dr. Lee and Dr. Williams. They are the most professional, kind, hardworking and personable people you will ever meet, and they lead by examples. I have been working for SouthlandMD for more than five years now, and it has been the best career move that I’ve made.

When were you appointed Medical Director? About five years ago, when SouthlandMD took over the staffing needs for Aspire mental health and addiction services in Albany, GA.  As a medical director for their behavioral health crisis center, I provide 24/7 support and guidance for the units.
